Cambridge Family House
This was our third project for these clients – a London lawyer and Cambridge academic, and their three young children. The 1920s house, in leafy suburbia, has well–proportioned rooms, big windows and all its original features, so we had a head start in creating a light–filled, characterful family home.
We made some room layout changes to create a modern master bedroom/bathroom suite and a new children's bathroom. Our next priority was bringing colour and pattern into the spaces and sourcing vintage furniture and accessories to complement our understated bespoke joinery. On the second floor a suite of 2 guest bedrooms and bathroom were created with an traditional but chic attic feel.
